Amber Flag

The Amber Flag is a positive mental health initiative run by Pieta House. It aims to promote mental well-being in schools and communities. It recognises the efforts of schools in creating a healthy, inclusive environment that supports mental health awareness and well-being. Thanks to our committee leader, Deirdre O’Neill, St. Conleth’s National School has earned three Amber Flags in consecutive years.

Each year, we raise awareness of student wellbeing by partaking in Wellbeing Week. Daily activities are organised to promote positive mental health and enhance inclusivity through teamwork and social support. The students partake in mindful breathing and colouring, guided meditation, sensory walks, yoga, outdoor learning and lots more. Our last fundraising event raised over €400 for Pieta House.
