Home Room
St. Conleth’s Home Room is a warm and welcoming nurture space within the school, created to support children with a wide range of emotional, social, and learning needs. It offers a calm and caring environment where pupils can take time to regulate, build resilience, and develop positive relationships, all while feeling safe and understood. The Home Room is led by Ms. Emma Walsh and Mrs. Sarah Mather. Whilst also fully qualified primary teachers, they are also trained in Nurture Theory and hold postgraduate diplomas in Autism and Special Education. Their specialist knowledge and compassionate approach ensure that every child’s individual needs are met with sensitivity and expertise. They are also delighted to share that, thanks to the generous support of our local Credit Union, the Home Room will continue to flourish. The items in one of the images adjacent, show some of what has been bought so far with the grant money. These resources provide invaluable support for our pupils’ wellbeing and growth.
The Board of Management have also kindly donated funds for a calm kit to be purchased for each classroom in the school.
